I'm heading to Staten Island in a few weeks for a wedding and was wondering if there is any bottle shops worth stopping at? I've seen reviews for Holiday Beverage, and they seem to have the best selection down there from what I was able to research. Any other places worth checking out? I'm only going to be in town for one night, so don't have a chance to go to any bars, or travel to far into the city. I'm from Upstate but I have heard that Long Island and NYC get some brews that are not available up here.

If you don't mind the ridiculous prices, there is a beer store in Bay Ridge, Brooklyn (5 minutes away from the bridge to Staten Island) on 94th St. and 3rd Ave. called Organic Girl. They have an excellent selection (probably the only shop in NYC that still has Mexican Cake), but totally ridiculous prices (i.e., $25 for a Mango Magnifico).

Ouch that does seen steep! However, I haven't even seen it in Syracuse. I know a few places on Long Island have some stuff by the bruery, so I was hoping to score something from them.

Best bet is to head to Jersey if you're going to be near SI. Bayway Liquors is right over the Goethals Bridge and has better selection than any place you'll find in Staten Island.
