Jon, have to agree Coalese is simply awesome! Drinkable abv on a double ipa is always a plus too! Too often brewers are doing 9 and 10 % .....keep it 8 and below ! Cheers!

What's the wait time like for fills on Saturday afternoons? Debating coming down, but I have my son with me.

@Balrog1 sorry I didn't see this until now. We rarely have much of a wait. Maybe like 10-15 minutes worst case scenario. If you didn't make it this week, next week we have 2 of our more popular beers on, Our Daily Bread IPA and Geek Nip IPA.

@ScottieD thanks man, thanks for the support also!

@Robtobfest yes, I agree, I personally like my DIPA around 7.8-8.5 tops.

Can't wait to get back for more beer. I over promised friends on the coalesce and am a growler short. Did it kick this weekend or will it be on tap Friday?

I haven't opened up my growler of Coalesce yet, but Techno Viking is amazing! It sucks that the hops were probably stupid expensive/hard to acquire, but I'd definitely be pumped to see it again in the future. I'm loving that bitter orange rind/pith finish. Unreal.

Also, I heard you guys went through 7 logs of Coalesce on Friday?! That's insane!

@MartyMarr it's a little different beer than my usual style and has been an either love or hate type beer. It's not a beer we will brew often, if ever again. We had fun making it!

Brew it again! I really enjoyed drinking my Viking. When you first start in on it you'll think to yourself "damn, this isn't what a typical pale ale tastes like." But then you have a few more sips and you really begin to appreciate it. The aroma alone is mouthwatering.

I definitely agree that it's a love it or hate it type of beer, but put me into the former category.

re: Techno Viking, afraid I'm not on board(:. Love the aroma, love the hoppy flavor up front, but then it sweetens out in a way that reminds me of too much crystal malt (but it's probably just the hop itself?) which gets killed by an abrasive bitterness that doesn't match for me. Maybe it's just these hops, I'm not sure.

Coalesce was spectacular of course. I wouldn't really think the characteristics of Citra and Nelson would be so good together when they're that present; ie all the lime, smokiness, and weed of Citra + the tropical fruit, earthy almost-cheesy dank of Nelson. But of course, in the right recipe they're awesome, and you guys have IPAs down.

Behold was different from the last batch (or my palate was), and I can't tell which one I like better. Aftertaste was straight marijuana. ...which is a good thing in a beer, for me at least. Maybe wasn't quite as "refreshing" as the last time I had it, but really excellently put together regardless. Luckily one of the 2 people I shared it with didn't like it, which meant her portion ended up with me.

    ---

(incidentally, i had nummy nummy at prime 16 and it's still too sweet for me--great hop flavor though. how rye i am i thought was excellent from the opening of the brewery, surprised that's not more popular (if it's not))

yeah no crystal malt in TV. It's the hop. I used alot of the 2 hops. I may tone down and do it a little different if at all ever again. It wasn't intended to be a regular offering as I only had 11 lbs of the hops. Behold, I think u got a questionable fill because around the time ur mom came we had a few other people who contacted me and told me their fills were a little off. We fixed the problem early Saturday. Sorry about that.

@Pahn I wouldn't write us off as a one trick pony or anything I just think this particular beer wasn't for you. I'm glad you like our IPAS but I promise I have a whole lot more in store for the future I'm just taking my time since we are so small

Interesting. Tasted pretty damn good for a questionable fill(:

Yeah I don't think Techno Viking is bad, I think maybe that particular hop combo isn't for me.

Not at all. Remember I loved the Bunny too(: looking forward to the variety, and the IPAs
