Anyone get the new IPA today? I thought it was interesting that it had the same fruit combination as the Trillium/Other Half collab.

I stopped in recently and picked up a couple new things. Got confirmation that cans are coming in the very near future. Exciting times ahead for SHBC!

Stoked on the news of upcoming cans. I've only been once and picked up a growler of method ipa and one other style. Both really impressive!

How's the Brett IPA? Sounds pretty tasty, but it's been impossible for me to make it to the brewery with their new hours.

Got two growlers of Geek Nip today. On point as usual. Last week's PIPA Royale was also very good. Like a candy IPA. Stoked for can releases.

Thinking about heading there for the first time on Saturday. Any tips or tricks? Approximate line wait?

Edit: As I was reading through the thread, several people mentioned that they were rather slow at filling growlers. Wondering if that has changed?

Check Facebook the night before/morning of to make sure they open! Some Saturdays they don't open because of lack of beer. I haven't been in a few months but they did seem to be getting faster with growlers. Can't imagine a big line unless they release something like Big Bad Bunny, but I haven't gone on a Saturday in a long time so I could be wrong.

Hopefully this is where membership perks kick in and a full case allotment is available prior to public posting

Not likely there will be that much available. Moreover, as I believe Steady is canning 16 ouncers, the sale of a full case would exceed the max number of ounces per CT state law.
As far as "prior to public posting", that should be irrelevant. If memory serves me right, I believe that one of the membership perks was that the brewery would set aside allotments for later pick up for "members".

Ah, yes, forgot about the max ounce.
But Jon did mention possibility of opening an hour early on release day just for members to get in and out quickly.

Not sure what his capacity is but assuming it's a 7 bbl system, figure 6 bbl yield after QC, trub, spillage. That's only 62 cases and that assumes he saves non for growler fills. My guess is 6 pp per style. Read above that both Coalesce and Method will be canned. Saw the can art for Method but not sure about Coalesce.

Wasn't Pioneer selling full cases at Shebeen?

Both Coalesce and Method canned. Jon was in debate on how to handle the holding of cans or opening up early for members. Not sure what he decided. There was to be none held back for growlers. All 7bbls to be canned.

Yes they were doing full cases of Trailbrazer, but cut back to max allotment. I assume they either got smart or were "informed" of the requirements in CT.
