My brother and I went yesterday. The mosaic ipa is outstanding. Loved the bunny as well. Look forward to cracking the boots this afternoon. These guys are making world class beer.

I hesitantly bought a growlette of Big Bad Bunny to bring to the relatives for Easter. I was worried it would be too out there. Big Bad Mistake. Everyone wished I bought a full growler or two. I wouldn't drink it all the time, but it was a perfect after-Easter-dinner beer.

@woodchipper that's too funny! We will definitely brew it again next year so I'll remind you next year to grab a full fill! Cheers!

I checked these guys out for the first time on Saturday. About 30 mins waiting in line was well worth it. Took home a growler each of ODB, Boots, and Mosaic. Also picked up a 2nd growler of Mosaic for a friend. I'm drinking the Mosaic right now and I gotta say, @CTBeerPope, you guys nailed this one. Although I thoroughly enjoyed the first two, and would certainly score them right around 90, the Mosaic tops them. I hope you guys give this bad boy a real name and insert it into your regular rotation!

@blackngold41 thanks so much man! Glad your into it. I have to say, I believe we will get better as we are still dialing in on our system. We are also still operating on a "provisional " permit in hopes of obtaining an "official" brewery permit in the next few weeks. With all the amazing breweries around nowadays it's scary starting out when so many breweries are in stride. Anyways, cool story on my part, haha, cheers!

Neat, Connecticut has a provisional permit now?

@beergrrl I'm not sure how long it's been around but yeah the state allows you to open earlier in the process if you ask for a provisional permit and pay the fee. You have 90 days on the provisional and then they either approved or deny your application for an official permit.

Well considering if I were at a bar to drink beer, I'd be spending $5-7 regardless. While I understand buying a $16 growler comes out to be cheaper than buying a pint at a bar, I'll never just be in Haddam and think, "I should stop at Steady Habit." So considering the hour drive, I'd rather order a pint in a bar.

Oh I definitely understand. Obviously as a small operation you are going be paying more for ingredients and in turn have higher prices. I wish you guys the best of luck and whenever I see your beer on tap I'll be sure to order it. I just can't personally justify the price and drive for your beer.

Had a fun visit today. These guys got a great thing going. Not only was the Mosiac ipa awesome but I also picked up a dank jar of dill'd green beans. Looking forward to more great things!
