i had a pour 2day at tap room i thought it was very smooth with mostly floral hops a touch tropical not much melon and twas a bit malty sweet for my liking ABV was well hidden pours were $6 750ml bottle $10 ..pours are the way to go IMO on this one

Picked up 6 today at the Brewery. I liked it alot, but last years melon-bomb is not there. I most likely won't buy any more this year.

 

I hunted around for Sticker Fight exactly none. @nograz graciously hooked me up with a bottle. I did hunt 3-4 shops for a bottle of Wee Heavy, but that doesn't change my opinion on either. For me, beers don't taste good because of how difficult they are to acquire. Good beers stand on their own regardless.

 

Size 11 sounds pretty tasty if anyone has an extra?...

 

Love all their beers, but I'm surprised nobody mentioned Rainmaker. Probably my favorite red ale on the market.

I am wondering if someone can help me decipher the date code on size 11. YES I did some googling, but my skills aren't up to scruff apparently. The only thing I found was "bottling date on boxes" but I never saw the box.

I'm drinking it tonight, and when I checked the bottle yesterday, I think I remembered it said 20141551230. That makes me think December 30th? Can anyone clarify for me?

I'm pretty certain they bottled this in January so it could break down like this: 2 (not sure, bottling line #?), 014 (Julian code for Jan 14), 15 (2015), 5 (not sure, batch #?), 1230 (bottling time 12:30 pm). This is very much a guess though so...

 

The bottles we got last week were 2 days old.

 

Didn't enjoy this batch of Size 11. Way to many floral notes. I preferred sticker fight.

 

I have only had these last three of 11, but I get the feeling that it is either an a work in progress or it is never meant to be exactly the same. 3 batches ago, I didn't care for it at all. Last batch, I could not get enough. Now this batch is excellent, but not hitting me to the point that I am craving it (like last year). But there are many variables to IPAs that tweak one person, but not another. Last 11 was my favorite out of the 3, but I am sure this batch is equally as excellent to many other people. There is no absolutely objective way to determine which is best, except by individual tastes.

 

This year reminds me exactly of last year, still not even as close to as good of a beer as Sticker Fight though!!!
