remember that time that pee wee loved frozen fruit cubes so much that he wanted to marry them and then he did?

Fuck it, I'm done going to these special events. I'm always invited to the second party and not the first! Unfortunately didn't have either of the initial batches but I enjoyed both these second installments. On a serious note, I wonder why the big differences?

if you didn't have the first one, how do you know there's a difference?

It's a big beer and a lot can change. I am not sure this is true, but to me, it seems as if it would be hard for a big beer with a lot of shit in it to turn out identical as before. I know there is a lot of science that goes into making a beer and it just seems unlikely with something like this. Now a beer like sam adams, that is something that will taste the same every time.

I don't have a master pallet or anything, but to me, these beers weren't in the same league. Glad @nograz gave me a can of SoS that I am thoroughly enjoying right now instead. Thanks bud!

Variation in hop crop can cause it or maybe they got a different extraction from the hops during the boil just to name a few items. I don't know what methods they used for hop addition in Sticker Fight, but I have been reading up on whirl pooling hop additions. Temperature can play a huge roll what you get out of the hops. So yeah, like what mothman said, science and stuff!

@mothman No problem, glad to help with your top 250 and that you like it.

I wouldn't, the question stemmed from other BA comments in this thread indicating differences.

you could play mad libs with that standard of judgment (which i imagine runs rampant through the entire site):

last year's [a noun] was so much [an adjective] that i [a verb] [a gerund] this year's.

end result is that you liked this one? so did i.

I think it is still good, just not the "holy cow this beer is awesome!!11!!" that I remember the last batch being. I am actually hoping a bit of age in the bottles helps.

last year's [batch] was so much [more awesome] that i [hope] [aging] this year's [helps].

it works! (or at least it works when i cheat and add one word at the end.)

I didn't find the last batch to be that awesome. It was a solid beer, but nothing I need to be sure I get. More for the rest of you  Enjoy what you like my beer friends.
