Hello regional friends and beer lovers. I saw a Facebook thread for a new bottle shop opening in Winston-Salem, NC on Hawthorne road. The name will be Stella Brew and not only will they have bottles, but wine, home brew supplies, and disc golf stuff. I am pumped because this is about half the distance from my house as the downtown shops, and they are going to do growler fills! Check it out on Facebook or if you're in the area! Cheers to the growth of our hobby!
I'm thinking this will be a real good thing when it opens. Any chance you have the link handy because I'm not finding it on my quick search.
I am so pumped for this. This store is 1 block from my house. This could be VERY dangerous. My wallet already hates me
Stopped by today. Like others have mentioned, way to close to my house!! It looked like they were still getting in inventory, but the owner, Matt, was very nice. Could be very dangerous to my liver.
Checked it out, very nice selection. About 2 miles from my house so yes very dangerous! Said he was putting in taps for growler fills after the whole growler law goes into effect.
I also checked it out - good selection that I believe will improve, pleasant staff, and nice vibe (I even wrote a review of the place).
Since I heard good things about Milk Thistle, a supplement, I've been taking it on a regular basis. It seems to work, as my blood test come back good, in that respect. Vitamin B complex + B-12 is also very good.
I went to the soft opening on Saturday. I don't know where to begin. The prices are outstanding. A dollar or more less than anywhere else in town on 6 packs and large format bottles. Great cold section including a full double door cooler for mix sixes. Great selection, mainly focusing on Belgians and sours as their specialty it seems. The location couldn't be better for me, personally. And I was surprised at the amount of people there for the first day. Great place, I might have to put in an application for part time on the weekends! Haha. Definitely a recommendation from me.
Stopped in today at lunch, immediately after going by TW. I thought Stella had every bit the inventory that TW did, with an already-pointed-out concentration on Belgians and sours. Personally, I'm excited about this, as that's one of the remaining genres I've not explored as much. And Matt could not be nicer. Made a point of introducing himself when I came in to browse and spent a few minutes geeking out with me over stuff I've discovered over the past couple of years getting in to craft beer. An excellent addition to the WS beer scene, and will definitely get my dollars in the future.
