Stereo Brewing in Placentia is scheduled to open sometime this month. I just recently found out about this and it's a total surprise to me as I hadn't heard anything about them. Their website has limited info and I know nothing about them other than what they've posted to Instagram so far. Regardless, it'll be nice having yet another option in the north Orange County area. I'm looking forward to them opening. Does anybody have any further info on these guys?

Glad that Stereo is opening up! The owner / brewer Rick is a good dude. He's worked as a brewer at Firestone Walker and was the Head Brewer at Left Coast Brewing. I'd definitely recommend checking it out.

    Cheers,

Here now. Great place, and great atmosphere. Crowded, and only 5 beers on though. I was expecting more. The Kölsch is the best of the bunch. Cheers!

Forgot to mention...they do 32oz crowlers!! While their beers are mostly underwhelming so far, there's a lot of potential there.

In that neck of the woods I'd just go with whatever food truck is nearby at the time (Unless it's Hobo Pizza Co., offer some goddamn sides like garlic knots or something).

Oh, wait, this was posted in the morning. Welp, hope you found lunch.

Forgot to mention I had tasters of Big Star, Love & Mercy, Perfect Day, Death of a Ladies Man and finished off with Wall of Sound. In that order. Took home Death for later. Good ipas, but nothing over the top or different. Nice and clean inside with vinyls spinning. Good vibe and atmosphere. Will def be going back sooner than later. Just give them some time to do some tweaking on the IPAs and hopefully more to choose from in the future.
Skipped BL and went straight to Gunwhale Ales in CS. Glad I did.

Tried this place for the first time this weekend. Most of the beers were fine, but not too memorable - but I thought the Imperial Red Ale (Robot) was fantastic. I did like the vibe - they had a musician on for 2 hours which was a real nice change of pace from the typical brewery tap room experience, and if they keep that up it sounds like something that will keep me coming. The bartender told me they have live music coming this Saturday booked and will see how it goes in the future. There was a good crowd too - pretty much packed, but anyone who wanted to could still find a seat. Bartenders were awesome too, great service and very friendly.

I've been there a bunch of times now. I dig the vibe and have enjoyed most of the beers. if you like Pivo you'll like Blonde on Blonde.
The IPAs still need work but are a lot better than Bottle Logic's were when they first opened.

I just purchased a crowler of their new collaboration beer with Roundabout Brewery that they released on Friday called 'My Mood Swings.' It's a traditional Saison. No fruit; no gimmick. Just a really well executed Saison with a higher than average hop component; but it is seriously good. I highly recommend trying it. Pretty stunned that an up-and-coming local brewery would release a straight-forward Saison in the age of haze, fruit, and Mexican chocolate everything.

I share your sentiment about their IPAs. I love their Scotch Ale (Tales of Brave Ulysses), and I enjoy their Imperial Red (Robot); but their IPAs are very underwhelming to me. Sort of harshly bitter without that clean, bright quality that many modern West Coast IPAs possess. It's puzzling to me, because I believe that the founder of Stereo worked for Firestone, if I'm not mistaken. Anyway, I really hope that they can start cranking out some bitchin' IPAs, because adding that their their already solid portfolio of other styles would really put them on the map in OC, in my opinion.
