Steve Luke to open brewery

He did the Dayglow IPA which I loved. Should be good stuff and he has an awesome location.

 

Steve and Cloudburst are going to be a great addition to the beer scene. I am excited to see him step out on his own after all his great work at Elysian and Allagash. Beyond being a great guy and brewer, his vision for Cloudburst will be as refreshing as Adams at Reuben's, and Holy Mountain.

 

He also created the Peach Pumpkin ale that Budweiser dissed in their ad. Space Dust is his beer also. Best of luck to him.

 

Sounds promising ... but some designer needs to offer her / his services and move them away from the clip art logo!

The old labels were a lot better. The labels now look cheap to me. They should have at least kept the old St. Florian label. That was a cool label.

 

Steve also has some great hair, so there's that.

 

anyone hear any updates yet? website still has all TBA/"coming soon" for most info

 

Nothing solid, but I overheard some industry types (I think they were from Silver City) talking at Holy Mountain a while back. There was some sort of party in the brewery space right before Seattle Beer Week.

 

Probably still early Fall. He just received Silver City's old brew system on May 20th.

Better but still plenty of room for improvement, IMO. (Then again, every designer thinks "They should have done it this way...")

 

The lettering they used for the sign doesn't match the lettering in the logo, which tells me that logo is a living document still undergoing revisions...

 

starting to see their beers pop up around town. stoked to try the imperial coffee porter with herkimer beans.

 

Hope some makes it down to the tap rooms of Oregon.
