I'll be driving through PA for a short while and making about a two hour stop in Stevens, PA. Any place I would be recommended to go to? I saw that there is a Black Forest Brewery around in the area. Any bottle shops that may be nearby as well? If not, I'll be stopping at Abe's Cold Beer on the way home.
I'd recommend Stoudt's Brewery and restaurant in Adamstown, maybe 5 miles away. They usually have a good variety of their beer on tap as well as bottles to go. You probably see some Stoudt's in Jersey, but they could have different stuff in the case at the front of the bar. Also, it's been a while since I was there, but Union Barrel Brewpub in Reamstown was good the couple of times I stopped in. Mostly German styles, but solid.
It looks like Stoudt's is closed tomorrow? Just found out a few hours ago. Any other suggestions just in case?
