Picked one up at the co op last week since it was only 6 bucks. It is heavy on the passionfruit and grapefruit peel flavors, but I got no "IPA" character at all, sour or otherwise. Didnt hate it, but hve no desire to drink it again.
I wanted to like it, but just couldn't. It doesn't taste sour, nor does it taste like an IPA at all. I didn't get any fruit flavors either. Perhaps I got a bad bottle, but I doubt it.
I had it on tap at the brewpub, and really liked it because it was the passionfruit that made it (slightly) sour, and the hopping was light for an IPA. The fruit flavor was at a good level for me. Wondered if that translated to the bottles. Maybe I will buy a single and find out.
I had it at the brew fest. VPB had a different name of it then, I think they called it Puckerface. I was excited since I was on a sour kick at the time, but I didn't taste much sour or IPAness in it. Overall, didn't really like it much. Hoping they changed something this time.
It's next up at the Vermont Taproom in Maple Tree Place and I was hoping it would resemble Le Terrior, it does not sound that way. It should be on by tomorrow.
very forgettable and underwhelming, as you may imagine given the recent track records for the two breweries that created it..
I picked up 2 at hunger mountain yesterday. it was cheap and had Patricks thumbs up (he always seems to recommend good beers either via sticker or in person) so I went for it. drank one last night and looking forward to the second bottle. I'm lovin sours and although barely sour it had a touch . I found it a welcome variation from the standard straight sour or straight ipa. couldn't believe I was buying a beer from MH but I'm glad I did.
