The tropical slam is so good! Also got to try intergalactic hop shop at the brewery today. Amazing, as well.

Drinking my final can of Intergalactic Hopshop right now.

    Sad.

Was at the brewery Saturday. Tropical Slam is fantastic and lots of cans available there. Alpha is also exceptional along with the Hop Shop. B15 may have moved to the top with their lineup of IPAs in Oregon.

Had a can last night that I picked up at the brewpub a few days ago. Absolutely stellar brew.

That Hop shop is amazing. Block 15 knows how to make some awesome IPAs

Hop shop is probably my favorite IPA to come out in a long time, was slightly disappointed in the tropical slam, had it on tap this weekend and had cans, good but not great.

I had a 750 of Tropical Slam a couple years ago, thought it was awesome.

Are cans still available in Portland?

Gonna have to disagree with you on that assessment. I think it's better than the regular. Just hoping I can snag a couple more 4 packs before it's gone for good. It should be hitting Salem tomorrow or Thursday.

Also, @John_M , is it possible/should this thread title be changed? It's pretty clear the issues from the initial few cannings have been resolved, and this beer is back to its former glory. Seems to me the thread title is misrepresenting the state of this very good/great beer. My $0.02.

Agreed. I'll wait to hear if anyone chimes in with some different/better ideas, but otherwise will likely just close this thread down (folks can read over the thread for historical purposes). At this point, keeping this an active thread probably sends the wrong message (and in this case, now completely incorrect message).

I think we just need a general Block 15 thread.

Did you have it on draught or from the bottle? Friends who had draught thought it was awesome. A buddy & I cracked a bottle on Sunday and drainpoured it. It had a ton of charred barrel flavor, which was weird. Also detected some band-aid in there. It wasn't overwhelming, but it was noticeable. Sometimes I like a little band-aid, but in sour/wild ales. In a BBA dark ale, not so much. Hopefully a one-off bad bottle?

Interesting you mention this. I recently cracked a bottle of The Prophecies and had to drain pour it. Tasted of scorched sugar and a metallic copper. Really gross.

Wonder if they're still having some brewing/bottling issues on certain brews?

Closing this one down. As others have noted, whatever problems Block 15 was having with some of the SH batches, that problem has clearly been resolved.
