I went in to RadioShack yesterday to get a potentiometer. The salesman asked me what frequency I needed. I didn't know the answer so I left and am planning on going back today with an answer. I don't see it on any of the links when I google search it so I'm thinking it isn't that important. What's a good RPM? Is there an ideal number or range?
I bought all my stir plate parts from Tayda. They are fine quality and cheap enough to buy several of each piece, just in case you fry something during the build. I used a 10K OHM (0.5W) Linear Taper Potentiometer. http://www.taydaelectronics.com/10k-ohm-linear-taper-potentiometer.html I followed this tutorial for the full build: http://www.rigacci.org/docs/biblio/online/voltreg/fan-regulator/tutorial-full.html
