I just made a stir plate from junk I had lying around. I just through out all my old pc stuff so I had no pc cooling fan. I did have an old red ringed xbox 360 so I tore it apart and used one of the dual fans. Power is an old cell phone charger and the magnet came from one of the many old hard drives I had lying around. The only purchases were the 1 inch magnetic stir stick and the Erlenmeyer flask which both were found on ebay cheap. It works pretty well without a potentiometer but I may add one in the future.
