Stjordalsol and bread yeast?

    You can just buy little packets at the grocery store. It's usually near the butter and Pillsbury tubes, or in the baking aisle.

    I think everybody has calmed down enough of baking at home that you should be able to find some.

    So far as using bread yeast for beer, I seem to remember either @OldSock or @ryane doing a blog post about using it for a beer years ago.

    I think you need to read the rest of the line regarding bread yeast :slight_smile:

    "Finally, bread yeast, or any clean, fruit-bearing yeast (like London Ale III)"

    Given this line, I would probably make a first attempt with US05 and see what happens. Nothing in this article would make me think that bread yeast was preferred.
