So due to some unfortunate declining health issues of a family member, I will not be able to spend Thanksgiving in Chicago this year and will instead be traveling to the St Louis area. (Edwardsville specifically) This means I will be at the mercy of the beer gods to try and find my beloved Bourbon County Stout on black Friday, assuming that it will be released the same time in STL as CHI. If any of you know of any shops that have gotten it in the past and that you think I might have a chance of snagging them at, if you have it in your heart to share your spot, please shoot me a PM.
I can't speak for Edwardsville but I was in Springfield, IL last year on black friday and found 4packs of coffee, barleywine, and regular bcbs. they didn't limit purchases, I got two of each. The beautiful thing is that with small towns like that, the people don't know what they have there. This is the same place that stacks cases of hopslam in the center aisle display instead of keeping it hidden in the back.
