For those of you who hadnt heard yet, Microfest will be May 4th-6th http://beer.stlmicrofest.org/ Hopefully we can have some good weather like last year and some good beer as well! I distinctly remember GI BCBS and Charlevilles BoC and Ale Mucho Hoppo being my favorites last year. Cheers! Tom
Last year what stood out to me was BCBS, Box of Chocolate, Ale Mucho Hoppo, and Dominique. There were quite a few other good ones as well.
I was headed to STL to visit some friends this weekend and just found out about this. So I got tix. You had me at BCBS.
Hopefully Perennnial has some Abraxas and Mint Chocolate Stout flowing as well as Charleville BoC! I read an article that said about 400 beers will be pouring! I feel bad for my liver....
I am going to tonight's session, though I am rather displeased that Scratch is only pouring tomorrow, since they have by far the most interesting roster.
Have they released a beer list? I saw a brewery list yesterday here, but haven't seen an actual beer list.
I dont think they will release a list. Im pretty sure dif sessions have dif beers, but not 100% positive for this years. Last year a few of the stations had a list and time they were tapping said "specialty" beers. This included GI BCBS and Charleville Box of Chocolate/Ale Mucho Hoppo, along with some of the other more anticipated beers. Im going to saturdays afternoon session btw!
cool, looking forward to it. this is my first year going. I'll be at the Saturday afternoon (noon - 4) session as well. was a nice surprise to find out it was going on the weekend I'll be in town. and super surprised to find out Deschutes is on the list!
They? No. STLHops? Yes. Of course their listing is incomplete, in that it doesn't mention the foreign pours, nor does it list certain beers that are definitely going to be poured from domestic breweries, like Deschutes Abyss. But it seems to be a fairly thorough partial list.
Abyss was on tap for the entire 4 hours. I couldn't believe it. Enjoyed quite a few pours. And got myself a couple pours of BCS. All-in-all, well worth the 95 degree temps!
