I'm gonna try to get a few bottles of Black Sun and a few of Alpha Klaus. I saved a bottle of Alpha Klaus last year until about March/April and it was really good...I would be interested to see if it could age a bit longer.

I always a few 4-packs of BCBS (not enough to completely break the bank).
Founders Imperial Stout is a must. At least 3-4 4-packs.
Founders Breakfast Stout isn't a beer one needs to stock up on. It's generally there all winter long here in KY.
Expedition Stout. Yes. One 6-pack for aging.

Weyerbacher Insanity!!! Comes out in February and definitely needs to be gobbled up so that you have it during the NEXT winter. Like Founders Impy Stout. At least 3-4 4-packs. My favorite off-the-shelf barleywine (even more than Bigfoot).

Wow, I didn't expect beeradvocate to be the first place I saw a reference to the "holiday season" this year. Guess I was wrong.

Anyway the answer is Celebration and LOTS of it!

Okay, I just had a side-by-side of year-aged FBS and fresh FBS. I can definitely say that I vastly prefer the aged option. I find the coffee comes on too strong and the chocolate is nowhere to be found in the fresh versions. A year later, the coffee is still there, but the body becomes more full and the chocolate comes out front and center. Mmm... Makes me wish I'd had the prescience to age several bottles last year. No worries, just means I have to do so this year.

    *hats off* *bows*

    At your service.

Well, you should get Founder's down there, as far as I've been told. Plus, in Ohio, I have no access to Clown Shoes, or Firestone Walker. Bell's Expedition is absolutely my favorite RIS, though. At least, until I do the side-by-side of Expy/Founder's IS/Yeti. And I do think White Rajah might be the best IPA I've ever had.

I bought 4 packs of bigfoot for the snowy months. It was really more to just make sure I had them because it's still at total wines.
