I enjoy a lot of the beers that have been mentioned, but usually just buy them as the mood strikes. Schlenkerla Urbock, Pannapot Reserva, Courage RIS and Sinebrychoff Porter are probably the ones I will drink the most of.

The only beer I am actually stocking up on, though, is BCBS, and that's because I am planning on having it with the family over Thanksgiving and Christmas. I think there's a bottle of FW DBBA left over from last year, too- we'll just have to do better this year.

I don't really believe in hot and cold weather beers, but I shall be on the lookout for Schlenkerla Urbock and Sierra Nevada Celebration in the later stages of the year.

This is a thread that is causing much jealousy. Stocking up...what the hell is that?

Do people have the money to stock up for the winter? Where the hell did I go so wrong in my life that I don't have this ability...:slight_frown:

Well, I'm just talking about what I'm going to be keeping in the mini-fridge. I wish I had a cellar full of awesome stuff like Black Butte XXIV, three-year old cases of Expedition, and bomber after bomber of Imperial Biscotti Break.

seriously ... even if i could afford some of these lists, it would take me FIVE winters to drink it all up

of course, winters here in Texan can be short

I just started my cellar so I don't have much that I will be drinking this winter that isn't readily available. But maybe I'll have one or two of the following:

    Narwhal
    Old Rasputin
    Black Butte XXV
    Speedway Stout (and BA version)
    Vietnamese Coffee Speedway Stout
    All Yeti variants
    Black Xantus
    Stone RIS (and espresso)
    Lost Abbey Angel's Share
    Uncle Jacob's Stout

I was told about this when the American IPA was coming out and from how they were talking about it, it sounded like a one-off that they did for 2012 as a special release. Keep in mind, this was just earlier this year when I was just getting into craft beer. I was pretty disappointed to be missing out on such an interesting IPA. I'm super excited now.
