Today I was working about an hour away from my house and I was expecting two beer packages from fellow BAs to be delivered today. On my way home I checked the tracking to see if it had been delivered and the website said it had. I rushed home but by the time I got there my packages were gone. I searched every where around my house but no luck. I called FedEx and they said that it had been delivered and left at the front door. Sounds like someone stole my packages!!!! I was expecting a black Tuesday, flower power, non BA plead the 5th, KBS, blackout stout and moloko. I traded some good stuff for this too. Such a crappy day. 1) has this every happened to anyone else? and 2) who thinks that there is a special place in hell for those who steal beer packages?
This does suck!! I agree with you! I also love your avatar and also love that your Beer Karma is at 666 to match your devil!
sadly, Fed Ex, or at least some of their thirsty employees, seem to be catching on http://beeradvocate.com/community/threads/warning-about-fedex-in-vermont.141599/
FedEx and UPS deliver to the wrong house more than you would think. Good luck getting them to admit it. I have had mail and boxes say they were delivered while I'm at home. I call to find out what happened and they always say they are positive it was delivered to the right house. A few days later a neighbor or someone with the same house number 3 streets down, brings it over (I live near a lot of nice people). I get other peoples mail from USPS at least once a week. I have also heard of drivers wanting to get home, scanning something as delivered or attempted, then dropping it off the next day. Hope your box finds it's way home.
This is part of why I rent a box at a nearby UPS store. Never miss a delivery and pick it up at your leisure.
These threads popup from time to time, as Kayn169 said usually the box was delivered to wrong place, not stolen.
I know a lot of us like to blame the employees of delivery companies for "stealing and drinking our beer" but I think a more likely explanation is the box being delivered to the wrong address or neighborhood punks stealing boxes. Just saying
There have been instances that delivery was never made on the day even though tracking shows delivered, and then showed up the next day. I believe this happened to @TofuDC5 recently. Hopefully they will show up by end of day for you.
This happened to me once through an Amazon delivery, so I investigated further... For troubleshooting a package that says "delivered" that isn't, Amazon's website says "Wait until the end of the next day—packages can show as delivered while still in transit". Though Amazon primarily uses UPS, I have had this exact issue with UPS, FedEx and USPS. Hope that helps!
Yes, this happened to me very recently. DO NOT LOSE HOPE! Wait 1-2 more days. Or, at least file a claim with FedEx for now. They are diligent in making sure you get your package. So, what happened to me is exactly the same case as you....package shows up as delivered on the website but when I got home, the package wasn't there. I grew frantic because I was expecting 24 bottles of BCBCS. The next day, both packages showed up at my doorstep...website didn't update any correction or delay status.
