Stone - 19th Anniversary Thunderstruck IPA

    Below is the label for the upcoming Stone 19th Anniversary beer - Thunderstruck IPA. I like the tip of the cap to AC/DC in the name. This beer will be a DIPA that will feature 100% Australian Hops and Malts. The hop varieties being Ella, Galaxy, Topaz and Vic Secret and the malt being Fairview. If this is like most other Australian hopped IPAs, it will be very juicy and tropical, which I'm personally hoping for.

    The label also notes that this beer will be the first "Thank You" beers they will be releasing going into their upcoming 20th year of brewing, so it sounds like we have a lot to look forward to in the next year with Stone!

    This beer will lock in 9%abv and look for it on draft and in 22oz bombers starting in August.

    Definitely sounds like something I'd want to pick up.

    I think for the 20th Anniversary, they should bring back some old anniversary favorites- namely the 12th and 15th. I never got to try the 12th, but it sounds super good, and the 15th was insanely good, may be the best Stone beer I've ever had.

    Very interested. The 17th anniversary German DIPA was one of my all time favorites.

    I'm going to need a case of these for tailgating at Marshall football games this fall. The name is very fitting :wink:

    15th was the epitome of imperial black ales. I think I drank a whole keg of that at my local watering hole. Damn it was good!

    But yeah, I'll pick it up if it arrives fairly fresh, STONE!

    This sounds great, I can't wait to try it. I really liked last years even though it wasn't as popular as some of the others.

    Loved the 12th, in fact I still have one in my basement. That beer was brewed when the hop shortage was in full swing, thus the stout. The 15th I thought was also very good, it was not better than the 11th and SSRA, but by just lost out by a nose. Real good beer.

    I'm looking forward to this one, I bet it's good.

    That's fine. IMO AU and NZ hops are soft.

    I loved that one, and somehow it was so easy to drink. This should be very very good. Can't wait for the all NZ DIPA.
