Scored a 6-pk for $13.99. It was good but not as good as previous years. The ABV is lower (11.5%) and I did not taste any barrel notes. I guess I cannot complain because it's dirt cheap in this new format.

    Don't disagree. I guess that I'm un-American. :stuck_out_tongue:

I have one Stone beer left in my fridge and it's a 2017 WootStout. I haven't bought one of their beers this year and probably won't...

While I've gifted wootStout to people, I can't recall personally having one myself... on the lookour for it VA. Maybe TW will get it in this week.

Their smoked porter was a real gem. I miss that beer.

I haven't purchased a Stone in longer than I can remember. I used to quite often, even while they were making the obvious transition to where they are now, I'd pick up one of their IPAs here and there, but now that they are almost all fruit extract versions of IPA I have absolutely no interest in their offerings.

At least give me a respectable, well executed line up of IPA. I don't have a problem with predominantly IPA breweries, so long as it's actually craft beer. Alpine used to be a good example of a quality IPA brewery.

I think the last Stone beer that I bought was Wussie. Just don't have much interest in buying IPAs from them, or many others, for that matter.

I'm cool with all of the IPA releases, don't know about the rest o' you'all. Loved scorpion bowl, keep buying those around $5 a bomber, and finally figured out why I'm not seeing "vengeful spirit" around- will be released as part of the summer pack. Loved that one since I visited the san diego brewery.

yeah the cool thing about stone and releases like that are if they become popular you usually see them again, I'd buy these in sixers or cans all day too.

looking forward to trying unfiltered Ruination 2.0 at the end of August. Love Ruination as a top tier example of a west coast double IPA

I picked up a bomber (they didn't have the 6 pack) of the 2018 w00t last weekend. I am proud to say I held on to a bottle of 2017 for a whole year in anticipation of my very first mini vertical. I will have my better half pour a sample of both to see if I can tell what's what. Should be fun. And yes, I am aware the ABV is different with each batch.

Scored a 6er of w00tStout at exceptionALE in Norfolk. For consumption tomorrow. I hear G+G got it as well in Va Beach, unsure if they've sold out yet. exceptionALE only got a case.

This is the first year Woot has been under 13%. Very disappointed in this but it's still tasty.

Thanks for the heads up on this. I enjoy Ruination as well but it's difficult to find reasonably fresh around these parts. Will keep an eye open for the Aug release.

And it's quite a bit under 13% too isn't it? I wonder if they lowered the ABV since they decided to release it in a new 6 pk format. I honestly can't think of any beer over 10% that was released in a 6 pk format.

In typical PA price fashion I saw it recently at $16.99, may have even been $17.99 now that I think about it...and this was at a store that usually has decent prices [for our standards].
