I just had some Depth Charged Double Bastard. Stone + Coffee = winning!

Looks awesome. There need to be more top quality and easy to get stouts in this world!

I am SO glad that it sounds like this beer will come in six packs. I rarely buy 22oz bombers, that is unless I PLAN to share it BEFORE buying it. I love sharing beer with others at least as much (if not more) as I do drinking it at home (usually with my SO); but unfortunately opportunities to share beer with others doesn't happen as often as I would like (even going to a monthly brewing club).

Looking forward to seeing this beer next year in a sixer!

If this is anything like Stone Espresso IRS I will be buying a case for sure. AWESOME!

I will certainly try it if I can find it. It's a reasonable ABV for an Imperial Stout and Stone's offerings are always tasty.

Thanks to wifey, I have had to invest substantially in Xocovesa (which is tasty...don't get me wrong). I have a feeling this will be next.

It dosent matter, just buy a bunch and put it in the closet . I'll be getting a few six packs or a case even. Ipas are close to my heart (lol) , however so are stouts and porters that I don't have to hurry and drink in a few months and keep super cold.

Being that this is 8% as well, I think that's the sweet spot for alot of beer.. Just enough to give it some body without it having that first chocolaty vodka taste.

Slightly disappointed in the Commodor by BP kinda one dimensional. Looking forward to this. Stone always pushing the envelope.

    YES

Also, I'm optimistic about the hoppy coffee stout thing. If anyone has had Mikkeller's Beer Hop Breakfast they'll know what I'm talking about. The roastiness of the coffee and malt blends with the citrusy hops to create chocolate and orange peel like notes. It's delicious.

This is what worries me, people will be comparing this to Espresso IRS when it is a different beer. That said, I look forward to trying this one!

If I could afford to do that, I'd buy a case or two of Founders Imperial Stout every year and never worry about getting my stout fix during the summer again. Alas.

I'm hoping this is year-round, because otherwise I'll either miss it entirely or only be able to afford one six pack before it's gone.

Judging from this thread, I guess I should drink my Stone IRS Espresso then? :stuck_out_tongue:

Now wait, espresso beans were incorporated directly into the mash? Sounds like it could be significantly caffeinated!
