I bought a bottle of this and went and deployment and forgot all about it. It is prob 8-10 months old now. Does it go bad? Also I had a bottle of Firestone Double Jack right beside it. Does it go bad too?

Yes to both but it doesn't mean you shouldn't try them. I bet you'll still find flavor in them.

The Double Jack will be a shade of its former self, as it's a hop forward brew. The 16th anniversary has enough other things going on that although it will be a different beer than fresh will probably be still quite good. I recently had a Stone 14th Anniversary on tap at a stone event and it was a unique interesting beer. This was also provided by Stone so I'm sure it was cellared properly, so conditions as to where these bottles were have to be considered as well.

First off welcome back looks like some have lost their manners.

Any IPA is best fresh, but after no beer for 10 months I bet it's still good, I would even think Steel Reserve might be drinkable in this case.

Just drank a bottle of stone 16th and it wasn't great, but at the same time wasn't horrid. still drinkable.

Not trying to be a smart ass but Stone 16th wasn't very good fresh. I couldn't get past the feeling that I was drinking lemon pledge. Hope 17th is better.

Not sure of the connection there besides both being Stone beers, but I also agree.
