I loved this beer when it was out three years ago.

I didn't get to try it three years ago, but I will definitely try it this coming year. Interested in how this'll taste.

Was the ABV that high the first time? Doesn't seem like it was.

I don't think the IBUs were that high, either.

Not sure the IBU, but the original was about 9%

Loved this beer. Green tea aspects were nice and subtle.

I don't always drink green tea, but when I do, I drink it from inside of a beer.

Greg, please bring back the Espresso IRS while you're at it.

Milwaukee Brewing Company makes a wit beer with Rishi Tea that is pretty good (O-gii I think it is called).

I was surprised how much I like that.
If they are starting to bring back some one offs I DEMAND they bring back the 15th anniversary Black IPA.

I'll second that. And add… please make the Espresso IRS a permanent fixture in Stone's lineup. Forever and ever.

I thought the previous version was a little too strong with the tea flavors, but not surprising cause it's Stone. I thought it was interesting and different.

Unfortunately, you know if they do Dayman, it will probably be limited.

Hop characteristics and green tea sounds like a decent pairing, I will try it out. I find that herbal notes (which I think green tea qualifies as) tend to go nicely with IPAs, just like citrus notes do.

Thanks for the post! I missed it the first time, I don't want to miss it this time. How the green tea flavor can come through everything else has me curious.
