Stone Bourbon Barrel IRS

Damn I've had this on tap a few times and it's fucking awesome, I hope to god I can get a few bottles.

 

I asked in an FT thread and was told 85 cases.

 

I heard 500, I also hear 980 - that would be 85 cases

 

From what I have gathered, it is 85 cases minus whatever Stone employees got before release. So somewhere between 980 and 500 bottles.

 

Curse living in Illinois, we'll never see this I suspect. I don't miss the ludicrous traffic, but releases like this makes me wish I lived in Oceanside still.

 

Yeah, especially since they opened a Stone bottle store in O-side last week with 20 taps - all Stone brews

 

How do I get this? Is it gonna be distributed all through California or just down south?

 

I hope this makes it up the coast to Seattle....

 

It's only available at Stone's stores in South Park, Oceanside and Escondido

Well, okay. Since you're obviously a glutton for punishment...the Stone tasting room is located on Tremont off of Mission. That's right, about 2-3 blocks from the beach. While the inland scorched this week, mis amigos y mi stopped by and sucked down 10th anny Ruination on tap - hardly anyone there so no lines, no wait - as the salty ocean breezes kept us nice and cool.

Hope she was worth it, Illinois boy.

 

I immediately regret this.
I did message some friends from high school though, and hopefully they can snag me a bottle or two.

 

Anyone know the barrel treatment on this one?

 

I had 2008 on tap recently at local Stone event and it was amazing.

 

Any idea as to how long this will last? I'm off work Tuesday and may possibly make the 4 1/2 hour drive down south to snag this.

 

I'd recommend calling the Stone Company Store before you make the trek. Maybe someone there can hold one aside for you if you tell them how far you are driving
