I just bought 2 Stone Bret IPA Series bottles and wondering how long I can age them. One is dated 12/26/15 & the other is 7/4/16. I'm hoping they are not expired if that is possible. I have not refrigerated them and I believe the store I bought them from did not either. Anyone have any suggestions or feedback?

The funk from the Brett will likely have become more prominent and the hops will have faded.
I would try the older one first and see how the flavor works for you then you can decide what to do with the newer one

Yeah, Brett IPA, there's kind of a catch-22 in that one right? I'd say that the hops are already done, but that's OK, that happens with Orval as well, and the upside is that you'll have more Brett. In my opinion that's kind of what makes Orval a brilliant beer - it doesn't matter because you're always going to get a good experience one way or the other - unless it's too old! In your case I'd say they're both ready to go. Why not invite some friends over and drink them side by side? That would be fun, and a learning experience.

Went back and looked at my review of Enjoy After 12.26.15 and as i recalled one will want to get this brew into cold refrigerator temperatures before you open it as the Bret was highly active in the young beer i had...but this is assuming the yeast is still alive. Bottom line was i really enjoyed this brew - enjoy!

I have really enjoyed "enjoy after" Watch opening them, they tend to gush from my experience.

The only brett ipa I enjoyed was one that was aged on brett and dryhopped once the beer was "finished" so ro speak.
