Stone Brewing bringing back original RIS Recipe

This is good news. RIS is one of the beers that originally turned me on to Stone. Glad to see them releasing something that is not another IPA...

now if only they would bring back Smoked Porter

 

I second this. I always said that this beer must have been runoff from Arrogant Bastard, but in any event it was a great beer.

Also - bring back Double Bastard while we are at it!

 

I wonder how original it will be.

Nobody bothered to "retire" the original..shrugs.

 

I'm hoping that the SSR special release revist from this past year and now RIS release is a trend Stone continues by bringing back the old formula beers that made them the craft beer juggernaut they once were. Special annual releases of each are fine by me, minimize shelf turding.

 

Could even do an every other year release and it would still be fine.

 

If he is, then he’s not worthy.

Do we now live in a world where Stone releases (well re-releases) more interesting beers than Sierra Nevada?

 

@FBarber Since Stone RIS has been gone for so many years, assuming RIS does indeed come back, should a new listing be created to keep these separate?

 

Ah, Stone IRS. Its release right around Tax Day in the past was always humorous to me. Assuming six packs of 12 oz bottles, if true? I will certainly be glad to see it in a different package format than bombers.

 

Will there be a price hike, OP?!
