Has anyone had a chance to make it out there? They're only open on Thursday's from 4pm to 7pm. They offer 22oz bottles and I didn't see anything about growler fills. Who knows how many permits you need to do that in your garage/shed... Anywho, can anyone offer any thoughts/praise/opinions?

Stone Corral is a newly established nano-craft brewery in Huntington. They currently have 3 beers available with more to come. Blonde ale, Dark Wheat Ale and Black Beer. Stone Corral will be at the Waitsfield Farmers Market tomorrow, Sept 14th.

The Black Beer is my current favorite. It's a velvety, German inspired black ale / porter cross. Damn good!
They're not doing IPAs either which is a refreshing break. I personally prefer more malty beers.

Friend picked up a bottle of the Blonde Ale (Stone Corral Beer) and the Dark Wheat and we tasted them last night.

The Blonde was a solid beer. I really like it. I'm a bit fan of wheat beer, so I really enjoyed the Dark Wheat beer. I liked the Dark Wheat more than the Blonde, but the Blonde was still really solid beer. I don't remember the exact prices of bottles, but I think they were around 6$ for a bomber, which is a great price point. Friend said that brewer mentioned that his goal is to eventually get into Huntington's market and then into Richmond Market, but probably not any further than that. I think he had a 30 gallon brewing setup and he does bottle conditioning (and brewing/bottling) all by himself.

Yeah, mentioned that he's not doing hoppy beers since those styles are already well covered in Vermont.

Yeah, I love Richmond Market. Used to visit there weekly when I lived in Richmond. I bought my first four-pack of Heady there - and it wasn't even a Heady delivery day!
