Stone Double Bastard to return in 2024

I remember when I first got into craft (2017), and I would see the Enjoy by series at literally every store. I never understood why it was called that. The date on the box was always 3 or 6mo old. I don’t think I ever saw it more than a few days before the date. This was true though about 2020. It just isn’t as prolific now, and I don’t check as often.

 

i assume this is why it’s going away. When I leave San Diego I see this, and occasionally in SD, even more often since 2020. Back in 2015 though it was a pretty hot commodity for a couple years but it definitely cooled off. Probably one part the novelty wearing off, one part consistency, one part line go up over saturation and probably above all the rise of hazies.

 

I guess that's good for the local folks. I don't think I'll be heading to Richmond any time soon I guess I'm SOL. Maybe some of the special releases will still get here since it's not too far away. We'll see.

As an aside, a fresh hop Ruination sounds amazing.

 

Stone special releases have been impossible to find for the last few years, and when they show up, it is close to $20/6-12oz cans. Meanwhile, for the same price, I can find a 12-pack of Fiddlehead Second Fiddle or a few dollars more for a full case of the Sierra Nevada Fantastic Pack. While I'm still curious about these releases, I am not buying them.

Just finished my second 6 pack last weekend. Two more to go.

I hope Stone brings back some more oldies, but goodies in 2025.
