Stone Enjoy By: 04/01/13

Well it clutters my Twitter feed with spam. It's annoying but it's easy to mute the hashtag on Twitter.

I care because we all complain about a beer when it's overhyped and difficult to find, yet we're encouraged to participate in Stone's hype machine. I care because we shouldn't be playing a game where the rules aren't clear and the results are probably predetermined. Remember this?

Anyway, I love this beer and I'm all for it coming to Texas, just without the spammy, rigged process of getting it. I'm really glad it came to Texas this time and I hope everyone here is able to find and enjoy it.

 

I think they'll be more interested in bringing it back to Texas when it's... ya know... sold out TOMORROW.

It's moving in Austin. HEB Hancock was down to a case this afternoon and dwindling according to their twitter. Probably gone by now. My favorite bottle shop was keeping the fact that they had it at all completely on the DL, despite having quite a bit. I almost had to pinky swear to secrecy.

 

I can see both sides. On the one hand, I really hate hype as a general rule. On the other hand, I really fucking love Stone in general and Enjoy By in particular. I want this beer to come back on a regular basis.

 

I was told BEK got it yesterday in Austin. Flix should have it up by Monday. Sooner if anyone wants to help kick the Cali-B on the wall.

Specs arbor is putting up enjoy by as i write this

 

Spec's downtown Houston has it. Whole Foods Waugh has it (1 bottle limit). Central Market is about to run out.

 

People are buying it by the case at the downtown Specs. I just grabbed 4, but while I was there, two people walked off with a box each.

 

Specs at 290/Jones has it.

 

Got one at Las Colinas Beverage. Looked like they have a fair bit more.

 

It's at Central Market on North Lamar. No discernable limit. Unless they have more in the back, there's about a case and a half left.

 

According to one of the BEK guys in Dallas, they got 100 cases and spread it around the city. Should be at Specs, Total Wine (tomorrow), CM Lovers, and at WF Park Ln.

 

Lol. I bought a bottle earlier today. I had no clue this was a Double.

 

Thats too bad for you. My fiancee peer pressures me into buying bottles of cantillon

 

HEB nearest the Texas A&M campus in College Station has at least a couple bottles left. $7.49 a bottle.

I bought three and felt guilty. Sort of. (they post no limits -- and I have no idea what they might have in back)

 

Pinthouse Pizza has it on tap as of today, fyi.

 

Was told I got the last one at Specs Arbor-Austin this afternoon.
