I love a good hop bomb as much as the next beer geek (just posted a rave review of Uinta Dubhe last night), but I have a serious pre-existing condition of a different sort, a stubborn proclivity for malt bombs and malt with just enough hops to keep my blood sugar level somewhere near normal. Too much time spent in the UK and Scotland.

 

That Unita Dubhe is great. Blood sugar level problem? Sounds like you have some diabetes. Or if not, and it's truly attributable to your time in the UK & Scotland, you'll hopefully get over it.

Yeah, my fault. I should have put a "that" between "time" and "it." I made a grammatical error once before, which led not only to a similar misunderstanding, but also absurd amounts of animal blood. Grammar is crazy like that.

OH NO! What will the retailers who have overpriced 9/13/13 still on their shelves do with their stock?

 

We're not getting 10/25 in NC and there is still 9/13 on the shelf at Total Wine, $7.49. They need to lower the price like by 2-3 bucks.

 

Whole Foods has them on the shelves as of today.

As far as I know, the beer is priced fairly at brewery and distributor levels. The retailers are the ones with the more-than-normal markup.

 

I have no problem with the $7.50, just that it's well past the Enjoy by date and the slot was smack full. You want to move them lower the price, really you can't bottle date better or be more clear than that.

 

At least you still have some. SC got cleaned out weeks ago (at least in Charleston)!
