Stone Enjoy By IPA - Charleston

Bottles reported that they were going to have it today (2/27) but as of noonish it had not yet arrived.

 

Truck got delayed. I had hoped it would make it yesterday for delivery today (Wednesday) but it was late, this is not confirmed.

Boones and Octobachi are getting kegs, package going to the IOP pig. I would expect the usual players to be getting it.

 

This is what I've heard as well...and it will be rather limited as well. I would expect most places to received 3-5 cases (roughly 30-60 bottles in total).

Also, completely off-topic, but I must have completely miss the Black Note release in Charleston due to Brewvival. Does anyone know when/what stores within the region received allocations and if there are any possible bottles floating around? If the answer to that last question is 'no', anyone up to swap a few bottles (assuming they made out well during the release) for EvHo '12, Seven Devils '13, BCBS '12, etc.?

 

Bottles most definitely got some but dunno when they hit shelves or what's left.

 

According to beer stores in Columbia, Enjoy By was not on the trucks that delivered Stone's stuff today. We got Old Guardian and the Oak Smoked variant, but Enjoy By was nowhere to be seen.

 

TW in W Ashley got their shipment of Black Note with the second shipment of Hopslam they got last week. I'm wondering if anywhere else in Greenville will see Black Note...only place I know of was Community Tap who got one case last week (2 bottle limit).

 

Well, I've contacted the usual suspects regarding their BN availability and apparently most stores put them on the shelves as of last Friday. Gee...fucking thanks a lot! Put it out on the shelves for all the non-locals attending Brewvival to scope up during their visit. Nice job...way to support the locals that stop in from time to time and keeps your Bell's business running year round with Two-Hearted sales. Oh well, luckily one shop in Charleston doesn't have their head up their ass...

 

3-5 cases might be optimistic, I've heard there are fewer cases (and fewer bottles per case also) of Enjoy By coming to the state than Hopslam.

 

The good thing is that this release is less hyped. EVERYONE wants to get Hopslam for some reason. This is probably more of a beer geek only release.

 

Enjoy by hit Columbia and Rock Hill areas yesterday for those that take Thursday trucks. Chefkev- I got you covered for next week.

 

Trucks are loaded, Enjoy by lands in Charleston today. Boom.

 

Just got my bottle at CBX! Unfortunately, only one bottle limit, no holding, no buying for others. Pretty funny, it's not on display, just have to say the secret word.

 

Weird. I didn't hear about black note either.

Don't know about SC, but in NC, it was here and gone in a day. So much for the lack of hype ideas! Also, only top Stone accounts got any, which means bars where Stone is the best thing on tap were more likely to get a case than smaller beer stores where Stone is "just average".

Ah well, maybe another Enjoy By release will find its way to NC and I'll be more prepared.

 

Total Wine in West Ashley has 3 boxes. Got me two bottles. Didn't see any Black Note though.

 

I'm saving mine til 4/2/13 just to spite them...or it's in my belly.
