Stone Epic Fest

You know it's going to be straight up epic you know VERTICALLY EPIC

I'm in and here's why
1) Come on, this is a once in a lifetime event. All the VEs at Stone. Imagine to having a Darkness line up at Surly.
2) VE Variants
3) It's Stone, you know they'll bring it for this
4) Nothing like ticking whales at 10am on a Wednesday!
5) You're worth it.
6) Oh NO! the first 8 are past their prime! Opinions man, opinions
7) This is it there is no 13.13.13.

 

(I've been waxed and chilled most of my life and am easily the best ME I've ever been, so I see your point.)

What year was the VE you tried?

I think for me it's a question of budget, not value. What StarRaptor said.

 

If it was on a weekend, I'd be in. Mid week is a deal killer as I'd have to miss a day of work plus the cost of the ticket. Ah well...anyone want to invite me to their vert tasting??? I can bring the back half!

 

I was talking in particular about 02, but that day we had several of the early VE's side by side, all refrigerated and waxed, and the 02 was the unanimous favorite. I haven't had a "cellared" 02, but I can only imagine, given what people have said about it, that it's a completely different animal.

 

Does anyone know what the "(Cash and Carry)" at the end of the Variations bullet point means? I hope they dont make you pay for those, that would suck.

 

I think that's pretty clearly what they're saying. It would be nice if "Carry" means they're doing bottles or growlers to go...

 

Pairings for each beer is a nice touch. I wouldn't complain about the price mostly because I imagine the number of tickets available is reversely proportional to the price here.

 

Depends on what the food is. Knowing Stone, it will be quality dishes so I think that's where the money is. Although, I wish they were including at least some of the variants in the ticket price
