Just bought a bottle yesterday. Curious to see how many people let it age any further than it already has. Thoughts either way?

It's one of those I had about 6 months ago. Yeah it's improved with age but I stopped aging beers like this because they are just decent and when you get into aging more you'll see what has potential to really develop over the years and what will just mellow out a bit. You get to the point where you want to age everything and then you'll run out of room and/or just lose track of what you have.

I think the bigger question is whether or not you found this guy on the shelf sitting out in the light.

Wasn't there only one batch of this? Also, isn't this pretty ancient. I'd love a bottle though.

I bought it from Stone Liberty Station out of the cooler. I know some beers eventually don't get any better with age, just wondering if how long people have sat on this particular bottle. It was brewed in 2011 and released in 2013, been in the bottle a little over a year. Yeah, one batch of this particular bottle. The other was the Wagner blend.

If this is the barrel aged one, I had this about a year ago and it was totally infected.

Wow, infected huh? Was it acidic and/or flat?

Wow, guess I ought to pop it open then. Don't want it to go to waste..Maybe I'll be lucky and it'll taste decent.

Yep, my bottle poured flat. Great flavor but, flat.

An honest point I overlooked, is this style one of those that traditionally has little carbonation?
