What would be the best/least bad beer on ice? Maybe a fruit beer like New Glarus's Belgian Red?

You're making all of us who do nothing but get drunk and post on beer websites feel guilty.

Hard cider on ice is very good. I actually like Belgian Red a little on the room temperature side.

My mother would occasionally put ice in wine. I still love her, may she rest in peace.

My wife is not a beer person and has never done this, but if she I did might raise an eyebrow, but would defend her right to do so, and my love for her is not based on beer.

Do this to me, now we have a problem

Fwiw- back in the day, when I had a bachelor pad and all the accoutrements, I kept 'ice balls' in the freezer along with the vodka and whatnot. These were plastic balls filled with water that would freeze like ice cubes, but not dilute your drink when you used them. And re-usable. Very handy for wine, scotch, and yes, even beer if you needed to get it to the right temperature quickly. I'm sure that kind of thing is still made these days. Obviously it has nothing to do with the OP's case, but still could come in handy to some people out there.

The bachelors with disposable income prefer granite or stainless steel cubes, these days.
