Xocoveza in barrels would be awesome. But in 12 oz? No way that's happening.

A link was posted earlier in this thread that clearly showed that it was going to be BA arrogant, that same one that already came out.......

I hope I am wrong but I thought this was already figured out???

 

I need to hit up my local shop. They always have plenty of Stone's stuff on hand.

 

I can't imagine in 12 oz bottles, in a 6-pack.

 

Pretty sure OG used to be in six-packs way back in the day. I know IRS used to be in 12oz bottles at one point, but again this was waaaay back.

I can't recall Old Guardian ever being in 12 oz. bottles, but you're right about IRS. It was packaged in 12 oz. bottles for a brief time in 2008 as a one-time bottling for Japan, although a bunch of those bottles were also sold in Southern California.

Fremont Bourbon Barrel Dark Star was originally dubbed Kentucky Dark Star and it was smelled out on the label. Now it's label says KDS.

 

I guess I'm in the minority or maybe I got a bad bottle, but I hated BA Bastard.

I awake from a slumber that’s been anything but peaceful. I don’t take kindly to idling and I am anything but neutral. The BA Bastard I had on tap was one of the worst beers I've had in a while. Did they age it for 2 months in a garbage can or what??

 

It is a blend, something like- 30/70 BA to non-BA. It didn't sound like you would notice much difference, so I passed on the bomber box.
Can anybody confirm the blend?

I'll be buying this in six pack format regardless of blend, I enjoy regular AB enough that if there is no barrel flavor I won't be terribly dissapointed.

grzeJesus, if that would actually be BBA Xoco it could've been best beer of 2015, 2010-2020, of all 2***...of all!
I heard that a small amount of Xocoveza may have made it into bourbon barrels, so get your hopes up! I can't wait to be ISO that!!!

End result of this thread is disappointing news after reading posts like this. Xoco was amazing, unfortunately I just drank the last one I had recently, so good.

 

Wasn't overly thrilled by this when I got the bastard box. It was ok and the bourbon brought some character, but not really enough. More like just adding a shot of bourbon than any real complexity.
