Not as sweet as some of you think. I like the sweet at the beginning bitter in the middle then a slight malt background that balances the whole experience, thats how i taste it. Im hooked and will buy it again. Its a real gulping beer even from the bottle its okay. I do like a tulip glass for this one. I drank this outside while grilling and it proved to go down real fast.

Waiting for wave #2 to come to Vermont, the 1/17/16 bottles were excellent.

I went to the Stone Brewing website and I could not find this beer as part of their presentation of beers.

There is mention of the 2016 release if you do a standalone search for this beer.

I wonder if the 2017 release is a 'secret' release?

    Cheers!

Hmmm...not sure on the particulars. I saw it on the Facebook page of a local shop I frequent. They post photos of new beers when they come in.

I don't think this would be the first time that Stone released something before the website was updated...or before we see release details elsewhere.

That is possible but it would be a poor Marketing & Sales practice.

    Cheers!

Yup, according to Untapped those beers are 'out there'.

    Cheers!

It's definitely out in Ohio already, it showed up at my store earlier this week.

Stone Pataskala Red X IPA is indeed on its way across the country in the coming weeks. As many in this thread have already noted, it's already popping up in some places! This will once again be a seasonal release for us, so it'll be around for about four months (alongside our brand new Stone Jindia Pale Ale). Keep an eye on our social channels for updates!

    Cheers,

I just had one last night. If you are sick of the fruity hops like Mosaic and the such, you'll love it. I'm not a huge fan of Amarillo hops, personally, but they pop out a TON in this beer.

Only had a single, would probably drink again.
