I tasted the coconut on the back end, but only once I got to the end of the bottle. I was really disappointed up to that point.

Just had it on draft. No coconut no matter how warm it got. The last sip may have had some coconut, but I think that was just me willing the coconut...

For you guys who are saying you're disappointed, are you disappointed in the level of coconut presence or disappointed in the beer overall? To me, it's a solid IPA, one that I'd be very proud of if I brewed it myself. I am, however, disappointed the coconut doesn't pop more as that would have been the main differentiating factor from the competition.

Totally solid IPA, great tasting. But the coconut was so mild it shouldn't have even been put in the name.

I popped open a bottle last night. It had a lot of tropical fruit notes and a nice smooth hoppy bite. The coconut came as more of a after taste. As the beer got warmer (since I drank it super slow) there was a little more coconut with tropical fruit. All in all I thought it was a pretty nice IPA. The bottle is pretty epic too.

This was better than I thought it would be.

I had a 17th Anniversary, Enjoy By & Coconut IPA all in one evening. Great beers. AND FRESH!!!!!

I'm going to start calling Arrogant Bastard "Arrogant Bastard with Pineapple".

IMO stone has been really good at bringing out flavors they blend into their beer, but this was a totally failure in that regard. Mislabeled.

If I ask for a cheeseburger, and I get a REALLY GOOD hamburger, I'm going to be bitter- That's where all the "it's not a good beer" comments are coming from... and now I want a cheeseburger.

Personally I couldn't agree more. To play devils advocate (not beer advocate) I will say that on Ryans youtube page he goes into much detail about the difference in the homebrew and the Stone batch. I also had a few bottles and noticed some variation, which is ok but surprising for Stone.

So it's funny to see the pissing match on here when I feel most of it has to do with bottle variation.

The coconut is subtle, but delicious!

I had this on draft yesterday and while I didn't get a ton of coconut, I did quite enjoy the brew. Solid ipa, but I would have liked a little more coconut on the finish.

I LOVE coconut. I'm going to be really sad and disappointed if the coconut presence is really as minimal as I'm reading here tonight.

I had one earlier, and I didn't get ANY coconut at all. A decent, but average, ImpIPA overall.
