Great! Stone's been crushing it with Enjoy By, Ruination 2.0, and Points Unknown - this'll just follow suit... :sunglasses:

So, now that this thread is back on track for the time being, I doubt NC will see any of this 'til next week at the earliest.

Drinking one right now, I think this one is just as good as last year's, maybe slightly more fruity.

It hit the Raleigh, NC market yesterday. It was my first time trying this beer, lets just say its BIG & intense. I definitely enjoyed this brew.

Just picked up one at TW in Charlotte for 8.99. It was flying off the shelf last year. Glad I didn't have to search forums to find it this year. If it is as good as last year I will be enjoying the fourth with a mighty fine brew.

God bless Stone for putting out this indelicate, piney, bitter monster in the face of the growing tide of sweet/tropical pablum that is all the rage in the IPA scene these days.

This beer is soooo legit. It's a hop monster...piney, bitter, resiny...and although I can only handle it in small doses...it still blows my mind how well done it is. This beer is a winner...easily the best 3XIPA I've ever had. Thank You Stone!

Flameout hops certainly contribute IBUs. You're still getting isomerization of the hops as long as the wort is over ~175 degrees Fahrenheit.

I'd assume they do a decent charge of high alpha for bittering. Lots of late/whirlpool additions as well. You figure a 10/15 minute whirlpool coupled with an hour knockout or so and the late additions add up.
