Stone - Saison

Sweet. I'll try it.

 

I haven't been impressed with any saisons from Stone so far. But hey, I've tried 48 different beers from them, so why stop now. Hopefully this one is better.

On a side note, the style seems to be a difficult one for many American brewers to tackle; if you go by the style guidelines.

 

Wasn't a big fan of Burning Rosids unfortunately. I doubt I'll be buying a full sixer of this but I'd try it on tap if I saw it.

 

Call me crazy, but the fact it's completely filtered and transparent is already the first red flag for me. Won't stop me from trying one, though.

Where do you see the beer?

 

I find myself only really enjoying Brett-focused Saisons, but hopefully Stone will put a unique spin the style.

 

The first thing I thought when seeing this picture was, "Oh no, don't let that beer -- GET IT OUT OF THE SUN!!!"

 

How can you possibly see that? Is there another pic out there besides the one posted?

 

Ah so this was their teaser on Facebook. I am just glad it is not another IPA. I will check it out.

 

While not entirely Stone's recipe, Saison DuBuff was quite good. Hopefully this one will be too.

 

Was a big fan of Matt's Burning Rosids, and intrigued to check this one out, too.

It's funny to see reactions to every Stone beer: "Oh look another IPA from Stone -- do something else!" followed by "Hmm... Stone Saison? Idk." when they don't make an IPA.

 

I'll try it. Why not? Probably won't kill me.

 

Indeed. I had it at Victory's brewpub a couple of years ago, and I loved it. I'll be trying this one if I happen to see it at the shop/bar.

 

Um, it's pretty obvious in the picture OP posted that this beer is clear as a bell.
