Look at the massive amount of light positioned to the rear of the bottle, and look at the bottle midway down.

I see through it at the top half, but not really beyond the midway point. And that's with tons of sunlight coming from behind.

Clear as a bell is not an idiom I'd use to describe it.

Firestone Easy Jack. Stone Go To IPA.
    Firestone Opal. Stone Saison.

Sounds interesting to have these beers face off against each other.

They're a month out from selling the beer, it's possible that either: a) the beer in the photo is not the final product b) they filled bottles with something other than the Saison to take promo photos of the packaging c) you can't tell a beers' clarity through an amber bottle from a picture on the internet.

Stone spotlight series has had plenty of saisons lately- I can see they have it down - ill definitely pick this up when it hits -
I won't be expecting a funky Brett saison but instead I'll expect something that can compete with moderntimes lomaland
    Firestone opal
    Boulevard tank 7
Ya kno "easy to get" saisons not too wild or funky but something to have In these crazy hot so cal days that are incoming

The brewer at stone was told it needed some "funk" in the beer cuz of the style. He's got bad hearing and misinterpreted it as "skunk". Every sixer of Stone Saison has been set out in direct southern California sunshine for no less than 2 weeks, for your drinking pleasure.

saison all about the yeast... i'm not optimistic.

reiterate my plea: stone, please, stop with the belgian style pale ales and saisons. rosids was very well done, but otherwise, please... rebrew VE09.09.09 or start making more awesome BSDAs! if you need to go belgian, stop failing at BSPAs and resume winning as BSDAs!

thank god its 5.5% abv though. Im sick of seeing saisons clock in anywhere above 6. A REAL true to style saison would probably be around 2-3% ABV, which I wouldn't ask for. That said though, it certainly is not a beer that should be make anyone feel hungover after having only one.

I love how snobby some of these comments are. You know you're all going to try it. For Pete's sake, it's just the price of a six-pack. How bad can it be?!?

Dupont was the first saison I ever tried, not much has come close since, but I'm thinking this will be ok for a summer beer if the price is nice.

There's a few American Saisons that are killing it out there...

Only a few. Many are still well off the mark.

Which would you suggest so I can keep my eye out for them?
