North Coast La Merle is also a kick @$$ saison.
St. Elsewhere makes several good ones.

Agreed on Hennepin. Excellent American take. Some other good ones (imho) that should be relatively easy to find:

Perennial Saison de Lis - reminds me of Hennepin in some ways and it looks like Perennial distros to Pennsylvania

Boulevard Tank 7 - the best widely available American saison, imho, but apparently Boulevard doesn't currently come to your state--however, it's an easy find for anyone in Boulevard's distro area, so it would be very easy to trade for. Hell, I'd probably be willing to just send you a bottle or two if you were curious. Mainly because it's one of my favorite beers. It's hoppier than traditional versions of the style.

The Bruery Saison Rue - especially if you like rye

Jolly Pumpkin Bam Biere - also good and has that brett-like funkiness to it. Bonus, it's only 4.5%

    UPDATE:

(Escondido, CA) – Stone Brewing Co. will add Stone Saison six-packs and draft beginning in Mid-April. The beer ships to wholesalers beginning this week.

Though the company has released beers like Double Bastard Ale on an annual basis, it has been steadfast that those not be considered “seasonals.” That changes with Stone Saison which is branded as a “spring-to-summer” beer according to marketing materials. More on the new beer below…

In spring 2011, Stone bought the farm, literally, taking over 19 acres of fertile Southern California soil where we now grow pristine fruits, vegetables, herbs and more for our Stone Brewing World Bistro & Gardens restaurants. A taste of our homespun farm-to-table is provided in this farmhouse ale stoked with lemon zest, lemon thyme and lavender straight from Stone Farms. This spring-to-summer saison is citric and herbal on the palate with a dry, peppery finish. Thanks to the infusion of fresh West Coast ingredients, Stone Saison isn’t your everyday saison. It’s our saison — 100% Stone. Celebrate the sunny season with an authentic taste of our farm and, with it, our commitment to quality.

(ABV is in the 6% range).

And more importantly: more sessionable IPAs and saisons with serious potential at reasonable prices.

This is only a good thing.

don't forget Goose Island Sophie, that is the best American Saison and in my opinion one of the best American beers of any style.

18 years in, Stone is now introducing their seasonal line up? Weird. I'm intrigued and will definitely try a bottle, though I can't say I've been all that impressed with their non 09VE Belgians (though there's an asterisk next to Cali-Belgique which I'm not generally a fan of by itself. but think pairs really well with quite a bit of food). BUT, I was a fan of Saison Du BUFF (with a bit of age on it to tame it some), and the extra spices reminds me of that to an extent, so I'm certainly hoping for the best.

And I'm hoping that if this is a spring-summer seasonal, they also have a summer-fall seasonal and a fall-spring seasonal. I like the idea of a San Diego brewery only having 3 seasonals since there are really only 3 seasons here.

That smoked 12oz colloboration saison got me into smoked beers in the first place... I would definitely give this a shot.

Since it's 6x12oz, if it's on the light side and not too $$$ I could get on board for summer. Not a ton of 6pack saisons, great divide one is the only one I've found worth buying.

This beer is an exploder. Shelled out for a bomber of this, opened over drain, half of which ran down drain when uncorked. WASTE.

I'll try Stone's Saison gladly, especially since it's in sixer format...

We need more American Saisons offered in sixers....Hopefully this takes off.

    Pass.

Not that it matters but it looks extremely clear to me also...I've drank so many beers in dark glass...the sun IS what is giving it away, I think it loses some definition in the middle due to the label but still looks like a clear lager or pilsner to me...it may be darker like an ale but it looks very clear.

As someone else mentioned...could be a stock photo? Does not "cloudy or thick"...IMHO

Will being trying though...Saison is a favorite style of mine.

Saison should be low abv. This is good. My favorite is Avril by dupont. 3.8% organic and tasty as saison on du pont. Hopefully this is a very traditional one not hopped up. I LOVE hops bit some things should not be messed with.

I have got a saison that I brewed about 8 weeks ago in bottles. If I am careful with them they look crystal clear in the bottle. Move 'em around a bit and all the lovely yeast goes right back into suspension. I used a Belgian yeast that isn't very flocculant. When it's settled in the bottle the beer looks clear, but as soon as I pour, it immediately gets that signature cloudiness.

Tried it last night. Nice peppery notes...the body was a little thin but had a nice aroma and good flavor.

Not a fan of hoppy Saisons either. I do buy tank 7 on rare occasion since traditional Saisons are in short supply in my town. Boulevards Saison-Brett was amazing before they hopped it up. I swear they hopped it up compared to when I first had it in 09/10. Could be wrong though.

burning rosids was good for a domestic, but the abv% was a little bit high for my palate and habits.

i will definitely give this a try tho.
