I think I might have to hit this up.

Stay away from my Hommage sir. I'll be that guy there at the table that has Hommage and will refuse to leave until either bottles are gone, security escorts me out, or my tickets are gone. At which point I will turn into a beggar looking for more tickets so I can stop my "lack of hommage" shakes.

Soooo, what your saying is I should get there before you, and then take all the Hommage.

I've actually never had any so I'll for sure be stealing at least a glass.

On a side note, I saw on last years thread you guys did a bottle share...maybe one this year too? A bunch of my friends and me are taking the train up so we can bring beer, but I wont have a place to store it.

    Bring it. :sunglasses:

inb4 there are no Hommage bottles at all....and in the event that happens...stay away from my Framboos.

As for the bottle share I think there is already one being planned afterwards to take over one of the largeish tables outside in the corner. Cannot confirm/deny but I will also probably be sitting around that area with some bottles of something...prolly like some JK sours I think.

Right on, Stone lets you bring in outside beer? I've never even tried that before! This should turn out to be pretty awesome!

Looks like I need to find a designated driver. Who wants the honor?

Was Sourfest 4 hours last year? I don't remember - I've got my beer list, but it doesn't have the session times...

I am using the better half! She just doesn't know it yet. Or worst case, a buddy lives like a mile away so we could just crash at his place for a bit and consume mass amounts of water.

Edit: Oh and play card games...and probably drink more beers....such a vicious cycle.

Dayumn... i think even at that i kept a brisk pace to finish pours (based on some wait lines and i do actually like to sit down and enjoy a drink). 3 hours is gonna be a squeeze.

Thx Reaper for pointing that out.

Just for reference, the first year I went, I also hated sours btw but was dragged to the festival, it lasted all day for $40/ticket I believe. I think this was in 2012. Remove an hour or two, add on a couple bucks to the ticket price. Granted some of these sours are painful to find now but still. ..damn.

I wish I still hated sours. My wallet and bank account would be super fat. Damn you beer...damn you.

(Still a bit far out, I know) For the share, any idea if Stone will lend some fridge-space during SourFest so the shared bottles are cold? Or are folks just bringing coolers?

In Indiana right now, so grabbed a couple Upland sours (Malefactor, Dantalion) to bring along. Will likely have another bottle or so (of something else) with me for Sourfest as well.

I have to admit, wasn't a huge fan of the bottle share at Sour Fest last year (the only year I had been). Felt like there was a bit of pretentiousness and a divide between those that managed to sit at the table with Dr. Bill and those that sat at the lower level. Definitely a different atmosphere from any other bottle share I've been to.

I'll probably be skipping If I go this year and keep a couple non-sours in a bag for when I need a break.

My friends and I always grab the table just up from the "official" bottle share and have our own, while scoffing at the pomp and deification-type ceremony taking place below.
