The backstory about this beer's original name (Colon Blow) is awesome.

I don't know about elsewhere, but all these Stochasticity, Collaboration, and other Stone Special Release bombers are really shelf turding around me. There are too many, too fast, they're a bit pricey, and reviews have been..... mixed.

Hmm I think that the price point is average and since when has too many options been a problem? I do agree they come pretty quick but, i don't think that is too negative. Yes the beers have been hit and miss. But most of them sell out in my area or when they pass there freshness the beer reps do yank them from the shelf and replace with fresh product. Stone is really good about that. Cheers

Yeah, most of these are spending months on the shelves here in Ohio.

Gotta agree. I was in Ohio a couple weeks ago and found some from 3 or 4 releases ago. And a 2014 Double Bastard mixed in with the 2015. It's probably an Ohio problem. In upstate south Carolina where I live Stone is distributed by Bud...it's a mess. They deliver IPA 2 months after bottling, I haven't seen a single bottle of Ruination 2.0...I really hope Greg or Steve reads this. I miss their beers.

I tried this one tonight. Very grain forward on the nose, but a nice mix of hops in the taste.

    Read. Thanks for the input.

Do you use this http://find.stonebrewing.com/ or this http://www.stonebrewing.com/freshbeer by chance?

Initially when this series was launched they were snapped up and there wasnt a turd to be found. Now there are plenty of them, personally I got tired of them.

I love the Stochasticity line, interesting beers, but I have to say that they are released too often. If it were 3 times a year it would be something I would look forward to but at this pace I don't even pay attention anymore. I've got Stochasticity overload.

For the record I counted 19 different special/seasonal release beers from Stone on the shelf at my local Total Wine this afternoon. At $8+ a piece it really is too much to keep up with.
