"Quadro Triticale is a Belgian-style Quad brewed with Triticale grain. Triticale is a hybrid grain that has the flavors of wheat and the spice of rye, and this beer will also use Dark Candi-Sugar and Ardennes Yeast strains. Look for Quadro Triticale to be package in 22oz bottles and come in at 10% ABV."

Varna Necropolis? Believe it was released, brewery and stores only. Guessing this one'll be the same. With this and the Alesmith BA release coming up, I'm wondering if I need to plan a trip to SD sometime soon...

He might have meant to say Stone stores. Anyways, it is Cali only, according to the MD rep. I was hoping to get my hands on one, but not gonna trade for just that. Hopefully this makes it out to MD. Now, to find that Delicious IPA since I already got the Sprocket Bier.

Yeah, Stone stores... figured it was implied by context, but you know what they say about figuring...

Still seeing Grapefruit Slam languishing on warm shelves all over the place.

I'm not sure if it's all from the same batch (and they just had a bunch left at the warehouse) or if they made a couple of them, but I know they were still shipping out cases of it pretty recently.

If i'm not mistaken isn't it a year round release?

Ah ok that would make sense. I thought these releases were one time only. In that case I might pick up another bomber since I liked that one.

While I hadn't heard that, it's entirely possible. Or possibly on something of a "brew it when we can" schedule.

Grapefruit Slam was meh. Varna was not good at all. Little hopes for this one.

Yeah, starting to get a bit wary of these releases. If they were really pushing the envelope, then awesome. But seems like they're just 'okay' takes on different styles they don't normally brew. I didn't mind Grapefruit Slam or Varna, but wouldn't go find them again either.

Varna sounded like it was going to be good - I thought it might taste like Curieux. Yeah... it didn't.

Saw bottles of Grapefruit Slam at Costco yesterday with bottled on 1/30/14 dates.

Grapefruit Slam is not a year round release.

And a lot of people dislike Varna but I think it's pretty awesome, so more for me

I think supply really outpaced demand on Grapefruit Slam. You're right -- have seen it at Costco, Whole Foods, Total Wine... it's still virtually everywhere, and a lot of it from the original few shipments, I think.
