I was just wondering about the overall "ageability" of the 12.12.12 since I have had oner for almost a year now, could I very week keep another few?

I'm assuming I can but wanted everyones opinions.

Belgian Strong Dark, plenty of ABV, and the bottles were a clove bomb so I'd let it sit just to mellow personally. We still have some on shelf and Stone seemed pretty determined to age the entire series anyway, so you're fine.

I had some recently and it was very metallic. I am not sure if it was a bad bottle or what.

My experiences with buying closeout Belgium Noel beers in July is that they don't age well. That said I really enjoyed this beer and think its a good beer to age for the style. I think on the bottle it says since it was the last in the series they intended on it being aged for years or something like that. Tried one last month and the spices were mellowed out but still strong. Also had on tap last May at a fest and it tasted like cat piss and was undrinkable and I don't believe in drain pours.
