It wasn't banana peppers, it was Anaheim chiles and maybe some other green chiles. I actually enjoyed it a lot, but I wasn't expecting to be blown away. It really was expected what it was billed to be though.

Wasn't there some cinnamon thrown in there too? Had it on draft when it was released and it was pretty rough. Really hoping the year in the cellar helped it out. The '09 and'10 are both pretty solid though.

Now that you mention it, that sounds correct. I liked it fresh (as fresh as can be on the east coast). I like the idea of peppers in beer when the spice is toned down. I know I am in the minority on this one, but it was one of my favorite Stone one offs in a while.

I dunno, I thought 10-10-10 was delightful but apparently I'm in the minority on that count.

Same with 16th Anniversary, I thought that shit was nectar. Oh, well.

All I know is the 09 I just had was sublime.

I'm looking forward to trying the 12. I have an 08 and a 10 in my basement now. Probably will be some new years beers!

06 and 09 are the best I've tried out of this series

I agree with you about both. 10.10.10 was my favorite of those I tried. And I liked 16th anniversary as well (not more than the 12th anniversary stout though).

Still waiting on it to get to TX. Heard it's still two weeks away. The joys of a TX craft beer lover.

To me it tasted like they poured pepperoncini juice in a decent beer and ruined it.
