Stone Woot Stout in DFW

Checked at TW & Specs off 75 today and it wasn't there.

 

Stone Brewing In Texas said on Facebook that is hasn't made it to Texas yet. All he said was the latest he heard was this month.

 

I just grabbed one from Total Wine in Charleston, SC. Really looking forward to it.

 

Official release of the 22oz bottles from all Stone stores is today with a 6 bottle maximum purchase

 

So we'll get it in about a month from now in TX

 

I hope you're right but the label hasn't come across as approved yet. Stone has pretty much been a month behind with all releases in Texas except enjoy by.

 

The way I understand Stone... there's a truck that comes into Texas once per month (with the exception of Enjoy By releases, which are rushed) to BEK. So it'll probably be on that next truck, whenever that is. When did RuinTen show up? Take that date and roughly a month out. ROUGHLY. That's why sometimes we're on top of Stone releases sometimes or a month behind. Let's say label approval happens after the truck leaves... that means another month. Har.

I'm currently visiting Iowa and W00tsout just hit the shelves here today in very limited quantities (1 or 2 cases per store). From what I have seen and heard, only 1 bottle per case has the special artwork. So if you want to collect all 3 designs, it may require quite a bit of luck to find a couple of "fresh" cases!

 

I talked to somebody at Midtown Specs yesterday. They said they have been calling BEK frequently about it, but they are getting an answer.

it didnt take them long to run out of these.

 

They were up for a few days. Personally, I would've bit if it were anything else. Compared to the packaging, the glassware is uninspired.



Getting impatient on these. Hopefully they hit ATX this week. By the way, is Stone hitting it out of the park this year, or what? Hopefully the truck also contains some R&R Coconut IPA.

 

I guess that will depend on when the truck left. But I def want the Coconut IPA also.

 

Just called Total Wine in FTW, lady said they were approved and the vendor has it in the warehouse. Awaiting TBC approval.

She took down my number and is calling me when it is available.
