I'll seeks it out. The 1st one was good, I still have a bottle because it was a bit boozy and was curious how it would level out.

Had a bottle mid April and the heat and saltiness really died down. More rounded out now. Excited to try 2.0 batch!

I'm excited. I thought this was a criminally underrated beer.

 

awesome. i loved the first w00tstout (still have 1 bottle left in the fridge). add chocolate? sure, why not.

The chocolate intrigues me because, like others have mentioned, I wasn't that impressed last year. It was kinda all over the map with the boozy taste, but I'm cautiously optimistic the chocolate will anchor it a bit. Will definitely buy 1 when I see it.

 

I've last years limited bottle art bottles in my cellar right now! Looking forward to this release!

 

I was so looking forward to this until I saw it was brewed with pecans. God damn allergies.

 

gyah, that sucks. and what's worse, the pecans contributed no detectable nut flavor (and i would wager: no significant flavor, period) to the finished product in the first w00tstout. like, they really have no reason to be there at all. i loved the beer, and thought every other element shined, but all the nuts did was disqualify people with nut allergies from enjoying what would have been the same beer.

 

Absolutely the pecans added flavor.

 

i thought last years was incredible. not hot/boozy at all. can't wait to stock up on this one.

 

Yeah! I couldn't peg it as pecan, since I'm not a big nut eater, but it certainly had a big nutty flavor going on!

 

Sorry to revive an older thread but did this release and if so did it get to PA? If not, anyone have a spare bottle and consider hooking a fellow BAer up in trade?
